Invisalign

Examination

On your first visit to our office, our dentist will conduct a thorough dental exam. The purpose of the exam is to review the status of your current oral health and to resolve any possible dental problems prior to the treatment. Once an examination has been conducted, our dentist will take impressions of your teeth, which will be used to make your Invisalign aligners. These aligners are then given to you along with instructions on how to use and take care of them in an efficient manner.

Transparency

The reason many of our patients resort to Invisalign is due to its transparency. The aligners are made of medical grade plastic components, allowing Invisalign to be discreet. Although they are transparent, they will still be slightly noticeable when someone stands in close proximity to your face.

Removability

Invisalign aligners are the only alternative to traditional braces that you can remove at your convenience. Although our dentist will recommend wearing them as much as possible throughout your treatment, it is nice to have the option to remove them for a special event or when you eat or drink.

BPA-Free

Many patients have begun to choose Invisalign because it’s made up of BPA-free plastic, and it does not have any plasticizers or other dangerous toxins that can be released into your mouth.

Treatment Time

The duration of Invisalign all depends on the severity of your case. However, the average time for this treatment is between 12 and 15 months.

Maintenance

Unlike traditional metal braces, Invisalign aligners are easy to clean. Our dentist will suggest cleaning them every time you remove them and every time you reinsert them. To clean them, you can simply run them under warm water.

Retainers

Once you have completed your Invisalign treatment, our dentist will suggest wearing a retainer to prevent your teeth from shifting into their original, uncorrected position.
