Initial Consultation

The first step in establishing care with our dentist is to call our office and set up a consultation appointment. Consultations are a great opportunity for you to meet our dentist and get to know them. Our dentist can talk to you about the different procedures that we offer and how you can benefit from them.

If you are satisfied with our dentist after the first meeting, our team will assist you in setting up an appointment. Before the appointment, you will be required to fill out a new patient form and provide your dental history and records. We suggest that you come in at least 20 minutes before your scheduled appointment to make sure that you have plenty of time to complete these forms.

This new patient paperwork comes in two categories, and both of them need to be completed properly. The first category covers your personal details. On this form, you will provide personal information, including your name, age, marital status, income range and home address. You will also be required to complete a medical history form. In this form, you must provide complete information regarding your past medical treatments, dental problems and details about dental insurance coverage, policy, and provider. We ask you to be honest when you fill out these forms because omitting any information could impact your future treatment.

Our office also posts these forms online so that you can fill them out before you visit us. This option saves you time and allows you to have hassle-free appointment scheduling as well as an efficient and effective visit. You can download health history forms from our website and enter all the required information. We will store this information in our database and evaluate it prior to your session.  If you would prefer to fill out this form online, please click the following link:

Comprehensive Exam

After reviewing your dental health history, our dentist will examine your gums, teeth and mouth in a comprehensive exam. This procedure is designed to study the current state of your dental health and hygiene. Teeth cleaning is also an important part of the comprehensive exam. Our dentist thoroughly cleans the teeth and mouth before taking x-rays so that there are no extra particles left in your mouth during the dental imaging process.

Our dentist will carefully look for any sensitivity, decay and redness around the gums and teeth during the examination as well as explain the procedure to you. Even though our dentist will have already studied your medical and dental history from the forms you filled, they may still ask you questions about your teeth during the examination. Our dentist asks these questions in case they see anything unusual or something that was not mentioned in the forms.

After conducting the comprehensive exam, our dentist takes an X-ray of your mouth, which will give a clear picture of the condition of your teeth and jaw. Our dentist takes these scans to better analyze any oral disruptions, diseases and cavities that they find. The panoramic radiographs are the most common types of dental X-rays as they give our dentist a highly detailed view of your teeth and jaw. Our dentist can easily spot any impacted teeth or jaw fractures with the panoramic X-ray.

Although many people believe that X-rays are a lengthy process, they usually take just a few minutes to complete. The X-rays are also safe procedures. Our dentist will guide you through the simple procedure by asking you to bite down on gauze while the rest of the body is protected from the X-ray machine with a device that will cover it. Only the mouth will be scanned by the machine.

Post Examination Discussion

After the dental exam, our dentist will discuss your results with you. Our dentist will guide you through any of the irregularities or decay that they may have found in your mouth. They may also mention the various treatment options that our office provides. Our dentist will suggest and explain to you the most appropriate and detailed treatment plan for your specific needs, and they will customize it to fit your requirements. We aim to help you maintain good oral health and solve all of your dental issues. You will also receive the total cost of the particular procedure, and you can discuss a payment plan accordingly.

Follow-Up Appointment

Once you have met with our dentist and discussed any possible treatments you may require, we will schedule a follow-up session for you according to your availability. During these follow-up sessions, your teeth will be cleaned and prepared for any forthcoming treatments.

We recommend that you visit our office for at least two follow-up sessions during the next year. This will help prevent the development of oral diseases, tooth decay and cavities. Over the course of these follow-up visits, our dentist will perform additional teeth cleaning and further treatments to keep your teeth in their best condition.
